  1. Until 31 July 2021, passengers and airline crew are not allowed to enter and transit.

– This does not apply to:

– nationals and residents of Thailand;

– passengers who are spouses, parents or children of a national of Thailand;

– airline crew with a return scheduled flight;

– passengers who are visa exempt;

– passengers with a visa issued by Thailand;

– nationals of Australia, China (People’s Rep.), Japan, Korea (Rep.), Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and Viet Nam with an APEC Business Travel Card arriving from the country that issued the APEC Business Travel Card;

– passengers with a Chinese Taipei (on the cover: Republic of China Taiwan) passport with an APEC Business Travel Card arriving from the country that issued the APEC Business Travel Card;

– residents of Hong Kong (SAR China) with an APEC Business Travel Card arriving from Hong Kong (SAR China);

– students;

– passengers transiting through Bangkok (BKK).

  1. Passengers arriving from Bangladesh, India, Nepal or Pakistan are not allowed to enter.

– This does not apply to

– nationals of Thailand;

– passengers with a diplomatic passport and their family members.

  1. Passengers entering or transiting through Thailand must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued at most 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. The test result must be in English.

– This does not apply to nationals of Thailand.

  1. Passengers entering Thailand must:

– have a Certificate of Entry (COE) issued by Royal Thai Embassy, and

– download the ThailandPlus App and register by using COE number and reference code.

  1. Passengers entering or transiting through Thailand must have insurance to cover medical expenses in Thailand with a coverage cost of at least USD 100,000.-.

– This does not apply to nationals of Thailand.

  1. Passengers transiting through Thailand must have a Fit to Fly health certificate.
  2. Suspension of visa on arrival facilities.
  3. Suspension of visa exemption for nationals of Cambodia and Myanmar with a normal passport.
  4. Passengers are subject to medical screening.
  5. Passengers are subject to quarantine for a minimum of 14 days at their own expense. They must have a confirmed hotel reservation.

– This does not apply to nationals of Thailand.

  1. Nationals of Thailand are subject to quarantine for a minimum of 14 days.
  2. Airline crew are subject to self-isolation until their next flight.
  3. Airline crew staying overnight must have a guarantee letter from the airline or a health insurance certificate with a coverage cost of at least USD 100,000.-.

 

 

 

  • Detailed Tourist Information

Only the following passengers are eligible to enter Thailand:

*Thai nationals

*Persons permitted or invited by the prime minister, or the head of responsible persons accountable for resolving state of emergency issues

*The spouse, parents, or children of a Thai national

*Foreign nationals holding a valid certificate of residence, or permission to take up residence in the Kingdom

*Foreign nationals holding a valid work permit or are allowed to work in the Kingdom, including their spouse or children

*Carriers of necessary goods, subject to immediate return after completion

*Crew members who are required to travel into the Kingdom on a mission, and have a specified date and time for return

*Foreign nationals who are students of educational institutions approved by Thai authorities, including the parents or guardians of the students

*Foreign nationals who are in need of medical treatment in Thailand, and their attendants. (Note this does not include medical treatment for COVID-19.)

*Individuals visiting for the purpose of diplomatic missions, consular affairs, international organisations, government representatives, foreign government agencies working in Thailand, or individuals in other international agencies as permitted by the Ministry of *Foreign Affairs, including their spouse, parents, or children

*Foreign nationals who are permitted to enter the Kingdom under a special arrangement

*Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Business Travel Cardholders from low-risk countries such as Australia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam, China and Hong Kong SAR – that are travelling from their country of nationality. Such passengers are eligible for visa exemption and can stay up to 90 days in Thailand.

*Holders of ‘Special Tourist Visa’ (which requires a minimum stay in Thailand of at least 90 days)

*Holders of non-immigrant visa who are business people without a work permit and are intending to enter Thailand for business purposes

 

All passengers are required to complete a health declaration a new window prior to their arrival in Thailand.

 

Thai nationals:

*A Certificate of Entry (COE) issued by the Thailand Ministry of Foreign Affairs

*Fit to Fly health certificate issued within 72 hours prior to departure

Non-Thai Nationals:

*A Certificate of Entry (COE) issued by the Thailand Ministry of Foreign Affairs

*Fit to Fly health certificate issued within 72 hours prior to departure

*A medical certificate indicating COVID-19 has not been detected (RT-PCR test) within 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time of the first point of departure

*Staying insurance covering medical expenses (including COVID-19) to the amount of USD100,000

The Thai island of Phuket announce a similar measures earlier this week. From July 1, it will allow international visitors to skip the country’s strict 14-day quarantine – as long as they have been fully vaccinated.

Thailand has suspended issuing travel documents from India over concerns of imported coronavirus cases, as more venues were closed in Bangkok on Monday as part of efforts to contain a third wave of infections in the Southeast Asian nation.

Thailand extends Emergency Decree for twelfth time until 31 July 2021

Authorities will implement a new color-coded restriction scheme, consisting of Deep Red, Red, and Orange zones, for localities nationwide. In Deep Red zones, gatherings are capped at 20 people, while up to 50 people can gather in Red and Orange zones. The designations also regulate restaurant dine-in and takeaway services and market and convenience store operating hours.

 

From May 1, the government will designate locations in the following zones:

Deep Red: Bangkok and Chon Buri, Chiang Mai, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan provinces

Red: Ang Thong, Chachoengsao, Chaiyaphum, Chanthaburi, Chiang Rai, Kamphaeng Phet, Kanchanaburi, Khon Kaen, Lampang, Lamphun, Lopburi, Maha Sarakham, Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Sawan, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Nan, Narathiwat, Pattani, Phatthalung, Phetchabun, Phetchaburi, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Phuket, Prachinburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ranong, Ratchaburi, Rayong, Roi Et, Sa Kaeo, Samut Sakhon, Saraburi, Sisaket, Songkhla, Sukhothai, Suphanburi, Surat Thani, Tak, Trang, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani, and Yala provinces

Orange: All other provinces, including Buriram and Phang Nga

Local authorities in some areas, including Buriram, Chiang Mai, and Nakhon Ratchasima, require arrivals from Bangkok and other places considered high-risk to quarantine for up to two weeks. Other provinces may implement similar controls.
